We follow TOYOTA LEAN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM to develop any new products/service. LPDS – Lean Product Development System has three main pillars as shown below:
This system when followed meticulously gives following advantages: -
- Quality
- Speed
- Cost Advantages of commonality
- Attractiveness
- Excitement
As we all know in Product Development, Information flow is greater than material flow. Synchronized cross functional process flow eliminates late engineering changes.
Typical Stages of Product Development:
1. Existing Market study & Technical Specification finalization
In this similar technology machines across world are studied and technical specifications are fixed in agreement with customer. Also various features available in the market will also be discussed and concluded.
2. Detailed Project Plan
Upon clear understanding of technical scope, a detailed project plan will be submitted. This will include Review Dates and milestones. UPPROD will make sure, we all work according to schedule and we are on track, so there are no delays.
3 .Concept Development
In this Stage we will go to a drawing board (Solid works / Creo) and create concept for specified machine.
4. Detailed Design
In this, Concept is detailed, and Engineering Calculations are made to arrive at final sizing of elements as well as manufacturing parts.
